Our Little Jedi

As one of the television networks was running the original Star Wars Triliogy, Dan thought it would be a good idea to pull out his light saber. Up until now, he hadn't ever let Kylie play with this precious "toy", but she got a hold on it tonight and demonstrated her finest Jedi skills.


I think Daddy was impressed with her light saber skills. I was personally more impressed that I caught a shot of her "fighting" Darth Vader in the television in this shot!

Maddie Turns 1!

In a fun filled busy birthday month, Kylie attended Madeline's first birthday party. As usual, Jess was armed with fun stuff for Kylie to do! Kylie had a great time playing with the newer Disney Princess version of what I remember as Fashion Plates - Cinderella makes a great looking mermaid! Then, she showed off her femininity by scarfing down her cake faster than anyone and asking for a second piece! Happy Birthday Maddie and thanks for letting Kylie open your gifts for you. :-)

Logan's Fourth Birthday!

For his fourth birthday, Kylie's cousin, Logan, had a Sponge Bob Square Pants party at Coconut Cove Water Park in Boca Raton, Florida. The kids had a great time playing in the kiddie water playground and floating down the lazy river. Happy 4th Birthday, Logan!

Happy 4th of July...

We had a quiet Fourth of July at home this year. This was the first year that we let Kylie stay up late to watch the fireworks and listen to Daddy's favorite - The Boston Pops. We made popcorn and sat out on the back porch watching all of our neighbors' fireworks!

First Dance Lessons

Kylie started dance lessons today in ballet and tap. More than anything, she was excited to wear the new shoes. She had been obsessing about those shoes since the day we bought them. So, when Miss Jennifer said they could put on their tap shoes, Kylie jumped in excitement.

While she was timid to go into the class at first and needed some extra attention to cross the threshold, she was in her glory once class began. We were so proud to see how well she followed direction, and were excited by her enthusiasm.

Colby's Fourth Birthday!

The day prior to Kylie's party, we had a "dress rehearsal" party for Colby and Emily at Cats Gymnastics. This gave Mommy a good idea of what to expect at Kylie's party the following day. There were about 30 kids, and Kylie was a little intimidated at first. Nonetheless, she got some quality time in on the apparatus in the gym. The play time was followed by a pizza party and cake!
